Countably Generated Ideals in Rings of Continuous Functions

1. Results. Scattered results about countably2 generated ideals in C(X) are established in [2] and [4] : Op is countably generated if and only if pEX and p has a countable base of neighborhoods; Op is both prime and countably generated if and only if Mp is principal, and if and only if pEX and p is isolated; no lower prime ideal is countably generated. We generalize these as follows: if Mp is c...

Rc-continuous Functions and Functions with Rc-strongly Closed Graph

The family of regular closed subsets of a topological space is used to introduce two concepts concerning a function f from a space X to a space Y . The first of them is the notion of f being rc-continuous. One of the established results states that a space Y is extremally disconnected if and only if each continuous function from a space X to Y is rc-continuous. The second concept studied is the...

On the quadratic support of strongly convex functions

In this paper, we first introduce the notion of $c$-affine functions for $c> 0$. Then we deal with some properties of strongly convex functions in real inner product spaces by using a quadratic support function at each point which is $c$-affine. Moreover, a Hyers–-Ulam stability result for strongly convex functions is shown.

Fine Weakly Clopen and Fine Strongly ?-b-Continuous Functions

Powar P. L. and Rajak K., have introduced fine-topological space which is a special case of generalized topological sspace. In this paper, the author has introduced a new class of functions called fine weakly BR-continuous functions on fine topological space (cf. [12]). Weakly BR-continuous functions has been introduced by Ekici [3] which includes the class of strongly continuous functions due ...

Inverse Limits with Countably Markov Interval Functions

We introduce countably Markov interval functions and show that two inverse limits with countably Markov interval bonding functions are homeomorphic if the functions follow the same pattern. This result presents a generalization of results of S. Holte, and I. Banič and T. Lunder.
